These Terms govern your use of the FormBase iOS app ("the app"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

1. Who we are

FormBase ("we," "us") publishes the iOS fitness app of the same name. FormBase generates strength, running, and Hyrox training programs, lets users log workouts, and connects athletes with independent trainers.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use FormBase. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You can use FormBase anonymously, with Sign in with Apple, with Google, or with email. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact support.formbaselabs@gmail.com.

4. Health & safety disclaimer

FormBase is not a substitute for medical advice or supervised coaching. The training programs, exercise prescriptions, pace zones, body-flag adaptations, and progression rules surfaced in the app are general guidance generated by deterministic algorithms, they are not personalized medical recommendations.

• Consult a qualified physician before beginning any new exercise program, especially if you have pre-existing injuries, cardiovascular conditions, or other health concerns.
• Stop any exercise that causes pain. The body-flag system lets you mark active injuries; use it.
• Form matters. If you're new to a movement, work with a qualified coach in person before loading it heavily.
• We do not guarantee that any program will produce a specific outcome (weight loss, strength gain, race time, etc.).

You assume all risk of injury or harm from using FormBase. You agree that FormBase is not liable for injuries, health issues, or damages arising from your use of the app, except to the extent prohibited by law.

5. Trainer marketplace

FormBase lets independent trainers publish profiles and lets athletes contact them. Trainers are not employed by, endorsed by, or vetted by FormBase. We don't verify credentials, certifications, qualifications, or claims made on trainer profiles.

• Coaching arrangements are between you and the trainer directly. Payment, scheduling, programming, and any in-person coaching happen off-platform.
• FormBase is not a party to coaching agreements. We're not liable for what trainers do on or off the platform, including but not limited to injury caused during sessions, services not delivered, or refund disputes.
• Trainers must comply with these Terms including the User Content section below. We reserve the right to remove any listing that violates them.

6. User-generated content

Anything you publish through the app, trainer profile bios, headlines, specialties, photos, websites, free-text constraint notes, coaching messages, is your content. You retain ownership; you grant FormBase a non-exclusive license to display it as needed to operate the app.

You agree not to publish content that:

• Is illegal, harassing, hateful, threatening, defamatory, or invades another person's privacy.
• Impersonates another person or misrepresents your credentials.
• Contains spam, scams, malware, or links to such material.
• Promotes self-harm, eating disorders, or unsafe training practices.
• Infringes anyone's intellectual property.
• Solicits services that violate applicable law.

We reserve the right (but not the obligation) to review, remove, edit, or refuse any content that violates these Terms. Repeat or serious violations may result in account termination.

7. Reporting & blocking

You can report any trainer profile from the marketplace using the menu (•••) on the trainer's detail screen. We act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours, including removing the content and ejecting the user where appropriate. You can also block any trainer to remove them from your view of the marketplace permanently.

8. Third-party integrations

FormBase can optionally connect to Strava to import your own activities. When you use the integration:

• You authorize FormBase to read your runs through Strava's API on your behalf.
• You acknowledge that your use of Strava remains subject to Strava's own terms.
• You can revoke the integration at any time from Settings → Integrations → Strava → Disconnect.
• FormBase's handling of your Strava data is governed by our Privacy Policy and the Strava API Agreement.

9. Intellectual property

The FormBase app, its code, design, copy, exercise library, programming algorithms, and benchmark tables are owned by FormBase. You may use them only as part of the normal use of the app. You may not reverse-engineer, scrape, redistribute, or build a competing product from them.

10. Acceptable use

Don't use FormBase to:

• Violate any law.
• Interfere with the app's operation (e.g., reverse-engineering, attacking servers, mass-creating accounts).
• Harvest data about other users.
• Use the app on behalf of someone else without their permission.

11. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially violate these Terms or applicable law. On termination, your data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Use is at your own risk.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FormBase will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim under these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) CAD $100.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be brought exclusively in the courts of the Province of British Columbia, sitting in Vancouver.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app before they take effect. Continued use after the update means you accept the new Terms.

16. Apple's standard EULA

If you obtained the app through the App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies as a minimum baseline. To the extent these Terms conflict with Apple's, Apple's prevails for App Store distribution.
